The last year at The Get Together Northwest has been a time of great growth, excitement and faith building. I have been blessed with and treasure this time. Today, though, I am writing to let you know that I have resigned my position as Executive Director at The Get Together Northwest, effective March 19, 2015. Additionally, I have accepted a position working with The Mission of Yahweh as the Director of Volunteers & Social Media.
While this is a great opportunity that promises to be challenging, exciting and fun, it is bittersweet leaving my position with The Get Together Northwest. What we have accomplished over the last year in Northwest Houston and surrounding areas has fundamentally improved the lives of so many underprivileged in our community. As is often the case, it’s God working through His people who have made these experiences exceptional. Together, we have broken through barriers, stretched our faith and garnered wonderful new relationships while focusing on the work that needs to be done in our city. Not only has it been gratifying and enjoyable, most importantly it has resulted in the needs of our partner ministries being met, bettering their programs and services in our community.
Moving forward I am committed to supporting a smooth transition and will be available as the board and partners need me. The board is passionate about its mission. They are a cohesive team committed and steadfast in their service.
Although I am leaving this position with The Get Together Northwest, I will continue to be a part of and supportive of the Get Together ministry & mission. So, this is not good-bye, but merely see you next luncheon, albeit in a different capacity.
Thank you for the opportunity and pleasure of serving with you.
In His Service,
