Buckner Family Place Conroe
Buckner Children and Family Services transforms the lives of vulnerable children and builds strong families through Christ-centered values. Family Place Conroe supports single-parent families in their journey toward self-sufficiency. Through safe and affordable community apartment living, quality childhood education, exceptional college opportunities, and comprehensive support services, Buckner helps families gain independence. Furthermore, Buckner helps people learn to live in relationship, with Christ and with other people. As Buckner partners with individuals, churches, civic organizations, foundations, and other groups, the people we are privileged to serve see clearly that hope shines here.
Home Place of Texas
Home Place of Texas is a non-denominational Christian community for adults with disabilities. This Christ-centered community allows individuals to build relationships with God and others through worship, work, education, and recreation. Our mission is to teach adults with disabilities that God loves them and has a plan for them. Our programs include quality activities such as weekly Bible studies, residential living, a day program and recreational activities.
Hope House
Promotes Christ-centered community transformation by providing transitional housing to people in recovery and providing social services to the community. Their program is designed for people in the latter stages of recovery and is also designed to give residents time to heal, with limited structure and lots of loving community living. Residents are expected to prepare themselves for independent living by paying rent, being active members of local churches, participating in individual and group classes, and doing community service.
Hospitality House
The Hospitality House is a facility serving the physical and spiritual needs of prison families by providing temporary lodging and food. The strengthening of relationships provides hope and the ability to cope for each family.
Mission Centers of Houston
Serves impoverished communities in the inner city of Houston, TX by providing for the physical and spiritual needs of people. Ministries include: Food and clothing distributions, Kids’ clubs, Preteen and Teen clubs, Christian Women’s Job Corps. Senior Adult Ministry, ESL classes and more!
Mission of Yahweh
A faith-based shelter that empowers, enriches and restores the lives of homeless women and children and provides outreach services such as donations of food, clothing, school supplies and other necessities to low income families in our neighborhood. We are a truly unique refuge that not only gives food, clothing and shelter, but also is committed to helping residents to become self-sufficient, productive members of society. The Mission supports more than 2,300 residential stays each month.
Shield Bearer
Shield-Bearer is a unique nonprofit founded in the movement to improve the health of relationships within families, organizations and communities. Shield-Bearer’s community and church based programs and services have reached into 12 Texas counties. Shield-Bearer not only provides excellent and ethical services and programs, but healthy relationships, strong marriages, healthy families and strong communities through community advocacy and social marketing.
