3 Tips For Better NetCaring™ (Purposeful Networking)

Respond to the challenges of others.

There is no better way to establish trust than to contribute to the solution of another person’s pressing problem.

Don’t just talk about your expertise, demonstrate it.  Ask questions, listen, and if you have an opportunity to help or advise…DO!

But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant.  Matt 20:26

Business Card Distribution.

If you’re handing out business cards like a poker dealer, people will fold. The “Spray and Pray” method only distracts others and leaves you forgettable.

Share your cards when someone requests it, this will attract people to you and probably save a few trees.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves. Phil 2:3-4

Smile.

Simply smile.  A smile is the attribute of a positive attitude.  When you smile you are approachable.  When you are grimacing you are avoidable.

The pros:  Smiling lowers blood pressure, reduces stress, increases productivity, encourages trust, increases attention, makes you look younger, and it’s contagious.  Ahh, yes, the gift that keeps on giving!

A cheerful look brings joy to the heart.  Prov. 15:30a
