In 2008, a small group of interested individuals had a visioning meeting with  The Get Together.

The goals of the networking lunches are for the business people to:

  • Build relationships with ministry representatives
  • Learn about local ministries
  • Work together to come up with creative ways to meet ministry needs

From that visioning meeting, with the guidance of The Get Together, The Get Together Northwest Houston was formed.  Each year we select 7-16 partner ministries that we focus on by highlighting what they do and focusing on their needs.  The ministry must be Christ-centered in their approach and have a 501(c)3.

Financial Support

What expenses do we have to cover?  We charge $15.00 for lunch and we want to keep it at this price.  We have a wonderful caterers who graciously work with us to deliver the meal and keep it within our price range.  We also have expenses of table cloths, name tags, pens, printing, etc.  One requirement to use The Get Together name and expertise is to hire an executive director to organize the networking luncheons, special events, board meetings, interview and work with partner ministries and to obtain their needs and prayer lists, follow-up with lunch attendees who indicate they can meet a need, etc.  We also have the expense of a website.

We would love for you to support us!  You can donate directly to us by clicking the support button or mailing your check to the address below:

Church Support

We are always looking for churches to be a part of The Get Together Northwest by supporting what we do.  Although Trinity Vineyard Church supports us and provides a meeting place, we are not a ministry of their church.  We have representatives from several churches attend the meeting and would be happy to discuss with anyone how to become more involved while, at the same time, engaging their congregations in opportunities to do mission work in their community.
