Join leaders in Business and Ministry from Northwest Houston on Thursday, February 14th over lunch to practice our unique style of networking that we refer to as NetCaring! You will have an opportunity to work together to meet the needs of 12 local, Christ-led nonprofits. Use your business skills, expertise, and network to make an impact while on your lunch break!

You’ll hear from our Featured Partner Ministry leader, Vince Duran, Executive Director of Boys and Girls Country on how their ministry is meeting a critical need in our community by providing children from families in crisis a loving and nurturing Christian home environment and raising them to become self-sustaining and contributing adults.

What is The Get Together Northwest? The mission of The Get Together Northwest is to engage business people in serving Christ-centered ministries using the gifts that God has equipped them with to run their businesses. These gifts include their professional expertise, network of contacts and entrepreneurial and life experience.
We accomplish our mission by holding monthly NetCaring™ lunches where business people have the opportunity to network with other business leaders and build relationships with representatives from vetted, Christ-centered ministries. Since 2008, Get Together Northwest has helped meet the needs of 25+ local ministries with a value of over 1.4 million dollars.

Who should attend this event?
Business people who want to network with like-minded business and ministry leaders in our community. Attendees will meet The Get Together Northwest’s Partner Ministries for the 2018-2019 season and have an opportunity to share ideas to challenges and meet the tangible needs of these ministries by engaging their personal and professional networks.

Is this event open to any nonprofit to participate? No. The Get Together Northwest’s NetCaring Lunches are designed for the local business person to connect with carefully vetted “Partner Ministries”. Only “Partner Ministries” that have completed an application process and approved as 12-month partners may present needs on behalf of their organizations.

What is the dress code? Business.

What should I expect at your NetCaring events?
• Each table will be hosted by a Get Together Northwest Ambassador who will facilitate the networking time during the meal.
• Each table will include one of twelve ministry representatives.
• Each ministry submits 3-5 needs each month. These needs are included in a packet of information at the table and on our website.

Are there volunteer opportunities? Yes! Volunteers are needed for event set up/break down, registration, greeting, and directing attendees to their seats. Contact Tonya Frye for more information.

How can my nonprofit become a Partner Ministry? The Get Together Northwest selects Nonprofit Partners on an annual basis through application only (March 1 – May 15). Nonprofits that are not official partners are welcome to attend events but are asked to support The Get Together Northwest’s Nonprofit Partners and not solicit support for their own organization at the events. To apply for partnership, interested nonprofits must attend a Discovery Meeting in February, prior to application. Check www.gettogethernw.org for more information.
